Hard Sided Waterbed Mattress

 The hard sided waterbed mattress is the classic waterbed, it also sometimes referred as a Wood Frame Waterbed. These waterbeds are hard sided and consisted of a frame that rests on a platform and also a deck. The hard sided versions do not come in standard sizing; this can at times cause the bedding linens to fit awkwardly and incorrectly.

The hard sided waterbed is basically a vinyl mattress which contains water; it is then surrounded by four wooden boards, typically 2" thick by 10" tall. The wooden frame typically will raised off the floor by using a waterbed deck or pedestal. This helps to distribute the water evenly. The hard sided waterbeds do offer extra

storage space that fits under the mattress in under the bed storage units. This at times is a key factor when someone with limited space is purchasing a hard sided waterbed frame.

When assembling a hard side waterbed, you first need to assemble the pedestal, on top of that the frame and then the safety liner.

These mattresses can also contain different types of the wave reduction systems within its up to two bladders. The hard sided waterbed offers all of the same support and comfort of the soft sided mattress. One slight issue some people have is that at times it is hard to get into the bed or get out of It, because of the framing.

Believe it or not, the hard sided waterbed has been making a comeback. Many thought that these heavy framed bodies with would cause ceilings to collapse. This is a myth. Many new designs are being released which has been giving a new breath and new light onto the hard side waterbeds.
